No One Reads the Handbook—And That’s the Problem.
HR is broken. Engagement surveys go ignored. Employees don’t trust leadership. Performance reviews feel pointless. And let’s be honest—no one actually reads the handbook.
No One Reads the Handbook exists because HR should work for employees, not just leadership. This blog is about fixing what’s broken in workplace culture—without the corporate jargon, empty promises, or useless buzzwords.
Mission
Most HR content is full of vague advice, recycled “best practices,” and out-of-touch corporate nonsense. That’s not what we do here.
Here, we call out what doesn’t work and highlight real strategies that actually make workplaces better—for everyone, not just the C-suite.
✔ Engagement isn’t free pizza and ping pong tables.
✔ Culture fit is just another word for bias.
✔ If employees are quiet quitting, maybe it’s because they’re tired of nonsense.
HR can be better. Work can be better. Let’s make it happen.
Who’s writing this blog?
No One Reads the Handbook was created by Brian, an HR professional who’s spent years in the HR field, working roles related to payroll, recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, talent development, DEI, and workplace culture. After seeing how often companies get HR completely wrong, he decided it was time to challenge the status quo.
Here, you’ll find honest takes on fixing HR—not just maintaining it.
